Traditionally, it is considered auspicious to buy gold on this auspicious day, which leads to a surge in demand in the market and this directly impacts the prices. Many people prefer to buy new jewellery or gold bars on this day.
According to market experts, the price of gold and silver is increasing not only due to the festive season, but also due to the increase in gold prices in the international market, fluctuations in the value of the dollar, and economic uncertainty.
Despite this price hike, the enthusiasm of customers on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya has not diminished. Jewellers are offering various offers and discounts keeping this day in mind . Gold prices have also seen a slight increase today. 24-carat gold has increased by Rs 490 per 10 grams to Rs 1,55,290. 22-carat gold has increased by Rs 450 per 10 grams to Rs 1,42,350. 18-carat gold has increased by Rs 370 per 10 grams to Rs 1,16,470.

But the price of silver remains unchanged. It is currently Rs 2.8 lakh per kg.
