Big Relief for Ration Card Holders: April to See Triple Rice Distribution
Government to Distribute 3 Months’ Ration in April for Card Holders: The government has announced a major change in the public distribution system, offering relief to around 74 lakh ration card holders. Under the new system, beneficiaries will receive rice for April, May, and June together in April.
The Food Department has directed all fair price shops to stock adequate rice by March 31 and ensure distribution to eligible beneficiaries by April 30. Beneficiaries will need to verify their identity through biometric authentication at ration shops to receive their share.
To maintain transparency, a special “Rice Festival” will be organized, with officials closely monitoring the process. The government has also warned of strict action against any irregularities, ensuring that the benefits reach the rightful recipients without disruption.
