According to sources, the incident occurred in Bangladesh’s Rangpur city. The deceased have been identified as Ganapathi Chakraborty (65), a retired teacher of Rangpur District School, his wife Pritilata Chakraborty (50), their daughter Prathima Chakraborty (23) and son Priyam Chakraborty (12). Rangpur Metropolitan Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge Najmul Kader said that the bodies were recovered from a locked house in Daspara (Machhuapara) area of ​​the city around 11:30 pm Saturday.

Rangpur Metropolitan CID in-charge Subir Chaudhary said that the bodies of the mother and daughter were found on the stairs, while the body of the father was found on the roof. He said that his son’s body was found under the bed. According to preliminary details, Ganapati and Priyam were reportedly found with ropes or scarves around their necks, prompting suspicions that they may have been strangled.
