7-year-old beaten to death by mother’s live-in partner: In a shocking incident, a 7-year-old was allegedly beaten to death by his mother’s live-in partner. The accused has been arrested and sent to police custody till July 24, 2026.
According to investigators, the 7-year-old boy’s mother, Sakina Qureshi, was in a live-in relationship with Vikas Singh after she separated from her husband. The woman had been staying with her youngest son at the accused’s house in Maharastra’s Ambernath, while her two elder children lived with their father. Vikas considered Sakina’s son as an obstacle in their relationship. One day Vikas brutally beat and kicked Sakina’s son on 17 and 18 July 2026, while his mother was away at work. Hasnain sustained serious injuries in the attack and was taken to Mumbai for treatment. Doctors declared Hasnain dead during the treatment on night of July 21, 2026. The victim was identified as Hasnain Inam Qureshi. Investigators claim that the child had been subjected to repeated physical abuse while victim’s mother was away at work. The woman had warned the accused, but the alleged abuse continued.
After this, the police registered a case of murder and arrested Vikas Singh. Assistant Commissioner of Police Shailesh Kale said that the court has sent him to police custody till July 24, 2026.
