Delivery boy attacked with sharp weapon: A delivery boy was allegedly attacked by a group of miscreants in capital city. The incident took place Thursday night on Jagamara- Gandamunda road under Khandagiri police station limits.
The victim, identified as Tapas Behera, sustained grievous injuries after being allegedly assaulted with a sharp weapon while returning to his store after completing a delivery. Seriously injured delivery boy was rushed to Capital Hospital for treatment. His condition is currently reported to be stable. Further police investigations are underway.
According to Tapas, the attackers targeted him from back with the intention of robbery. The miscreants reportedly fled with his mobile phone and cash.
According to locals, lack of proper street light system in the area has allegedly contributed to several criminal incidents. In past many incidents reported from the locality.
