The post-mortem report in the death of Inspector-in-Charge Beauty Mohanty of Chaulia Ganj Police Station has revealed that she died due to asphyxia (suffocation). The autopsy findings have added a new dimension to the case, raising serious questions about whether her death was a case of suicide or murder. The exact circumstances under which she suffered asphyxia are still unclear, leaving police probing multiple angles. Police are now examining whether she was strangled or if any other factor led to her suffocation.

Investigators are still awaiting full data extraction from her two mobile phones which has been sent to the State Forensic Science Laboratory in Bhubaneswar. A dedicated team consisting of one Additional DCP, one ACP, and two senior inspectors is handling the case. Every possible aspect of the case is being investigated to establish the circumstances surrounding her mysterious death.
