IMD Issues Yellow Warning For Odisha Till Sep 17: The India Meteorological Department(IMD) has issued a yellow warning till September 17 across Odisha. It also forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds upto 40 kmp.
For Sunday, the IMD has issued yellow warning for Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Subarnapur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha and Nayagarh districts. Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind reaching up to 30 to 40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places.

Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds of 30 to 40 kmph is also likely over Baleshwar, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Subarnapur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha and Nayagarh.
On September 15, heavy rainfall is very likely at one or two places over Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput and Gajapati. Similarly, on September 16, a heavy rainfall warning continued for Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput and Gajapati districts. On September 17, a yellow warning for heavy rainfall has been issued for Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Rayagada, Koraput and Gajapati.
