India Shines on Day 3 of Asian Games, Wins Four Medals: Monday, September 21, was a successful day for India at the 2026 Asian Games. Indian athletes won four medals, taking India’s total medal count to six and placing the country 12th in the standings.

Medals in Shooting and MMA: India won three medals in shooting. Rudranksh Patil, Himanshu Dhillon, and Parth Mane won the silver medal in the 10m air rifle team event. In the individual events, Himanshu won silver, while Rudranksh won bronze.

In MMA, Suchika Tariyal won the bronze medal in the women’s traditional -60kg category.

India Defeats Pakistan in Table Tennis: India’s men’s and women’s table tennis teams defeated Pakistan 3-0 in their respective matches. The women’s team won all three matches through Sutirtha Mukherjee, Cindrella Das, and Sreeja Akula. The men’s team also secured a 3-0 victory, with Harmeet Desai, G. Sathiyan, and Payas Jain winning their matches. Both Indian teams advanced to the quarter-finals.

Strong Performances in Kabaddi: India’s women’s kabaddi team defeated Bangladesh 42-21 in a Group A match. The Indian men’s team also performed well, beating Japan 49-24. The women will next face Iran, while the men will play Korea.

Badminton and Hockey: India’s men’s badminton team defeated Bangladesh 3-0 to reach the quarter-finals. Lakshya Sen, Ayush Shetty, and K. Srikanth helped India win without dropping a match. In women’s hockey, India produced a dominant performance, defeating Indonesia 17-1.
