Indian shooting legend Jaspal Rana passes away: Indian shooting legend and coach Jaspal Rana passed away at the age of 49 on Friday. He was serving as the high-performance coach for India’s pistol shooters.
Sources said that while returning with the Indian team from the ISSF World Cup held in Munich, Germany, Rana’s health condition worsened during the flight journey. After which, on Friday, i.e. June 12, 2026, he was urgently admitted to Max Hospital located in the Saket area of Delhi. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, deeply saddened by the death of Jaspal Rana, expressed his grief on the social media platform ‘X’: ‘His departure is a great loss to the Indian sports world.’
