900 dogs killed in Telangana in a month
Inhumane Incident In Telangana ; A very inhuman and heartbreaking incident has come to light from Jugital district of Telangana. Around 900 stray dogs have been brutally killed in a month in order to fulfill an election promise. It seems that the panchayat representatives have carried out such a planned massacre to fulfill the promise made to their voters.
According to reports, during the local gram panchayat elections, many candidates had promised that if elected, they would rid the area of dog and monkey cruelty. To fulfill this promise, a blueprint was prepared to kill stray dogs by giving them poisonous injections. While 500 dogs were initially killed within a week , 300 more were later killed. In this way, a total of 900 dogs were killed in a month.
As soon as the dogs were injected with poison, they would become unconscious and die after some time. This incident came to the fore a few days ago when the bodies of 100 dogs were found at the same time. The autopsy report revealed that the poison injection was the main cause of death.
An organization has filed a complaint at the police station for this inhumane incident. The police have registered a case against the local Sarpanch and Panchayat Secretary in this case and started an investigation. The incident of killing such innocent animals in the name of winning elections and fulfilling promises has now created a strong reaction across the country. Animal lovers and various social organizations have condemned the incident and demanded strict action against the culprits.
