Iran Allows Two Indian LPG Tankers to Pass Through Strait of Hormuz: Amid rising tensions in West Asia, Iran has allowed two Indian tankers carrying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to pass through the crucial Strait of Hormuz, according to reports.
The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most important maritime routes for oil and gas transport. Due to the ongoing conflict in the region, many ships are currently facing difficulties while passing through the narrow waterway.
Abdul Majid Hakim Elahi, the representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader in India, said that Iran has not closed the strategic route. He stated that the strait remains open, but ships are moving with caution because of the tense situation.
The conflict in West Asia began on February 28 and involves United States and Israel on one side and Iran on the other. The tensions have affected shipping traffic and caused instability in global energy markets.
Experts say that any disruption in the Strait of Hormuz can have a major impact on oil and gas prices around the world.
