Middle East War: The Iran-Israel-America war has worried everyone. The impact of this war is now being felt by the common people. Thousands of people are stranded in different countries due to the Middle East war. Keeping in mind the current situation, the Indian government has taken an important step. Through which the people of the Gulf countries stranded in India can get relief.
India will extend visas by 30 days and waive overstay fines for foreign nationals stranded in the country due to the US-Israeli war on Iran. The Indian embassy in Dubai announced that the move is being implemented to help travelers who are unable to leave India due to the ongoing conflict in the Gulf region, as air travel to many countries remains disrupted.
The Embassy said that all visas/e-visas which are expiring or about to expire will be extended free of cost for one month by the concerned Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRO) for the affected nationals on a case-by-case basis. Any overstay fine incurred by the foreign nationals will be waived.
The Embassy announced that exit permits will be issued to the affected foreign nationals. Further, failure to apply for exit permits or obtain extension of visa will not be considered a violation of the Immigration Act. India has decided to grant free Temporary Landing Permits (TLFs) to foreign nationals whose flights have been diverted to India due to disruptions in West Asian airspace.
