Kataka Bali Jatra to kick off from Nov 24: The historic Bali Jatra in Kataka will be held from November 24 to December 1 this year, Kataka Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde said today.
The district administration has proposed to the state government to hold the annual fair at both the upper and lower grounds of the Bali Jatra venue. The final decision will depend on the government’s approval.
The Collector further said that the fair would feature performances by artistes from outside Odisha, including Bollywood stars. Water sports activities will also be introduced in the Mahanadi as part of this year’s celebrations. The administration also plans to expand parking facilities as compared to previous year to manage the expected rush of the visitors.
