Mahindra SUV sales rise 14% in September 2026: Mahindra has performed strongly in terms of SUV sales in September 2026. The company’s domestic SUV sales reported a 14% rise and 15% increase in total vehicle sales. Strong demand helped the company maintain its growth momentum.
Mahindra has sold 64,092 SUVs in the domestic market in September 2026, registering a year-on-year growth of 14 percent. Total auto sales were 1,14,874 units, including exports. This is 15 percent more than last year. The company’s utility vehicle portfolio saw good demand. Mahindra also crossed the mark of 1 lakh unit in total billing of its electric origin SUV. This achievement reinforces the company’s electric passenger vehicle strategy.
Passenger vehicle sales in the July-September quarter stood at 1,83,397 units, up 26 percent from the same period last year. Domestic SUV sales reached 3,58,142 units in the April-September period, marking a growth of nearly 20 percent. The commercial vehicle and three-wheeler segments also saw good growth, while tractor sales declined.

Domestic SUV sales rose to 64,092 units from 56,233 units in September 2025. This led to the sale of 7,859 additional units. There was an increase of 8 percent on month-on-month basis compared to August 2026’s 59,257 units.
Since the launch of Mahindra’s electric Origin SUV, the billing of 1 lakh units has been completed so far. This strengthens the company’s electric passenger vehicle presence.
Mahindra Truck & Bus Division and SML Mahindra sold 2,912 units, up 53 percent. Cargo vehicles stood at 2,043 units (84 per cent growth) and passenger commercials at 869 units (10 per cent growth). Total volume in April-September increased by 22 percent to 17,805 units.
Domestic tractor sales of the farm equipment business stood at 50,208 units, down 23 percent. The company attributed this to the shift of the festive season to October and a higher base due to the GST cut last year. Tractor exports increased by 62 percent to 1,892 units, taking total sales to 52,100 units. It has decreased by 21 percent. However, the total tractor volume in April-September stood at 2,74,068 units, a growth of 7 percent.
