Man kidnapped, killed after 15 days of joining office: An employee of a private construction company was allegedly kidnapped and murdered in Jharkhand’s Giridih district. The police have arrested 4 people in this case on Wednesday.
According to the police, the deceased was identified as Manjesh Singh of Bihar’s Lakhisarai district. He was working as a clerk in a private company. He had a dispute with some of his colleagues and the project manager over refusing to preparing inflated fuel bills for tractors. Manjesh went missing about 15 days after he started his job. Following the incident Jharkhand police investigation into the missing case led officers to the main accused, Pintu Yadav, a tractor driver. The police arrested Pintu Yadav and interrogated him. Based on the information received during the interrogation, the police recovered the body of Manjesh Singh’s body from a forest in Bihar’s Jamui district on Tuesday. The body was found about 4 km away from Giridih officials said.
During police interrogation, the accused revealed that they were getting extra payments by manipulating the bills of diesel used in tractors. Manjesh refused to tamper the bill in this way. This led to a strained relationship with his colleagues and project manager Upendra Chaudhary. So, they planned to kill Manjesh.
The police have recovered the weapons used in the murder from the scene. He said that the body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem. Police investigations are underway to trace other two accused who are still absconding in this case.
