Cylinder Blasts Worsen Fire Tragedy in Lucknow Slum Area
Massive Fire in Lucknow Leaves 250 Huts Destroyed: A massive fire broke out in the Vikasnagar area of Lucknow on Wednesday evening, destroying more than 250 huts. Hundreds of families lost their homes, belongings, and savings within minutes. Panic spread quickly as people ran to save their lives.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire started near a liquor shop in Sector 11 and spread rapidly to nearby areas. Gas cylinder explosions made the situation worse, with over 50 cylinders reportedly bursting. Fire brigade teams worked for nearly three hours with around 20 fire tenders to bring the blaze under control.
Some victims claimed that several people were missing and others injured, but officials have not confirmed casualties yet. Rescue teams continued searching through the night while relief camps were set up for affected families. Leaders including Rajnath Singh and Brajesh Pathak directed authorities to provide immediate help and speed up relief efforts.
