OAS Reshuffle: State Government Transfers 29 OAS Officer : The Odisha government has ordered the transfer and posting of 29 Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officers in a major administrative reshuffle. The Odisha government on Thursday announced a reshuffle including the transfer and posting of several OAS-A(JB) officers in various districts. The reshuffle, which came into effect from April 30, includes changes in the ranks of officers within the state.
The move, announced through a notification issued by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, aims to strengthen governance and improve service delivery across the state.
The latest reshuffle mainly affects officers working as Sub-Collectors, Deputy Collectors and Tehsildars. The changes are spread across several districts including Balasore, Angul, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Ganjam, Kandhamal and Sambalpur.
Most of the officers have been reappointed to the role of Tehsildar, which highlights the government’s focus on strengthening grassroots governance, land management, and access to public services at the local level.
According to the official notification,
• Sasmita Murmu: Appointed as Baliapal Tehsildar from Balasore Collectorate.
• Shubhakankar Mohanty: Transferred from Dhenkanal Kamakhyanagar to Cuttack Kantapada Tehsildar.
• Kumaresh Sahu: Appointed as Kamakhyanagar Tehsildar from Kendrapara Collectorate.
• Urmila Pradhan: Will take charge as Salepur Tehsildar from Cuttack Collectorate.
• Sasmita Shatpathi: Transferred from Ganjam Kodala to Cuttack Badamba Tehsildar.
• Jayadartha Acharya: Appointed as Puri Gop Tehsildar from Bhadrak Tihdi
Instructions to join work within 7 days: District Collectors and officers of various districts have been instructed to release the concerned OAS officers from work within 7 days so that they can join their new posts.
