Odisha cadre IPS probationer resigns: After Bhubaneswar DCP another Odisha cadre IPS officer resigns. C A Ramdas, a 33-year-old IPS probationer from the 2025 batch, has submitted his resignation to the Odisha government. The report came to light on Saturday morning.
As per official sources, Ramdas is currently undergoing training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) in Hyderabad. He is still in the first phase of training. Although the officer was allotted the Odisha cadre by the central government, he had not received his first field posting in the state.
No reason was officially cited by the officer or the authorities regarding his resignation. Ramdas’ resignation comes barely days after Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena resigned for voluntary retirement. The back-to-back resignations of two young IPS officers have raised eyebrows in the state.
