PM Modi remembers martyrs of Kargil Vijay Diwas on ‘Mann Ki Baat’: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation through the 136th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ today. Underlining the historical significance of July 26, PM Modi today remembered the martyrs on Kargil Diwas. Along with this, he praised the ongoing ‘Catch the Rain’ movement for water conservation in the country, the brilliant performance of Indian youth in the Science Olympiad and the achievements of private innovation in the space sector.
While addressing 136th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ today, PM Modi said, ‘There are some dates in our life which we don’t need to look at the calendar to remember. Today is Kargil Vijay Diwas. This day fills us with pride; this day reminds us of the amazing courage of our brave soldiers.
Talking about water conservation, PM Modi said that ‘Catch the Rain’ campaign has now taken the form of a mass movement. He called upon citizens to save every drop of rain and ensure that the momentum of water conservation continues across the country.
Prime Minister Modi praised the scientific talent and dedication of India’s youth. He highlighted the exceptional performance of Indian students at this month’s International Science Olympiads in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. Referring to the private sector’s participation in the space sector, the PM said the successful launch of Vikram-1 has filled every countryman with pride. INS Mahendragiri was inducted into the Indian Navy a few days ago. It is a symbol of the growing strength of a self-reliant India Modi added.
Modi also praised the growing sports culture in the country and the international achievements of the youth. PV Sindhu has become the first Indian to win the Japan Open title in badminton. The whole country is proud of her achievement, said Modi. He also praised the unique initiative of a school located in Ernakulam (South Chittoor) in Kerala. Abhilash ji, a teacher there, has started a project called ‘Aksharakanduka’ to popularize Sanskrit.
At last he urged all citizens to participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and share their valuable views on MyGov for the upcoming Independence Day.
