Pramila Mallik takes charge as PAC chairperson of the Odisha Legislative Assembly: Senior BJD leader Pramila Mallik has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Odisha Legislative Assembly.
According to a notification issued on June 25 by the Odisha Legislative Assembly Secretariat, Speaker Surama Padhy nominated Pramila Mallik, who is the Chief Whip of the Biju Janata Dal Legislature Party, to head the committee for the financial year 2026-27.
The 12-member PAC was constituted under Rule 135(1) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business of the Odisha Legislative Assembly. Mallik’s appointment as Chairperson was made under Rule 197(1). The 12-member committee comprises Pramila Mallik (Chairperson), Rama Chandra Kadam, Dr Aruna Kumar Sahu, Ganeswar Behera, Sanatan Bijuli, Akash Dasnayak, Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo, Ashok Mohanty, Babu Singh, Santosh Khatua, Amar Kumar Nayak and Arabinda Mohapatra.
