Rainfall Warning Issued For 19 Districts In Odisha Till 26th : While Kalbaisakhi rains are continuing in various parts of the state, 13 places have received rainfall in the last 24 hours. The highest rainfall of 57.4 mm was recorded in Borigumma in Koraput, while 44 mm was recorded in Kuchinda in Sambalpur, 43.2 mm in Dabuga in Nabarangpur, 34 mm in Lamtaput in Koraput, and 26.2 mm in Kalmapur in Kalahandi. On the other hand, a cyclonic circulation has formed over coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjacent Yanam. Due to this, rainfall is likely to occur in the state for the next 7 days, i.e. till the 26th.
The Regional Meteorological Center has predicted severe thunderstorms and hailstorm for 3 days from Friday. Especially on Friday, an alert has been issued for 25 districts of the state. Orange alert has been issued for thunderstorms and hailstorms with lightning and wind speed of 50 to 60 kmph in Sundergarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Jharsuguda, Bargarh and Sambalpur.
Similarly, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Balangir, Kandhamal, Boudh, Sonepur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Deogarh districts have been issued a yellow warning due to the possibility of thunderstorms and gusty winds of 30 to 40 kmph. Meteorological Center Director Manorma Mohanty has warned people to take precautions and not to step out of their homes during thunderstorms and hailstorms.
