‘Raja Shivaji’ to release on OTT, fans excited: Actor and Director Ritesh Deshmukh’s film ‘Raja Shivaji’ is set to release on OTT platform. Fans are excited to watch film on digital platform.
Historical action drama film co- written and directed by Ritesh Deshmukh, is based on the life, courage, and bravery of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire. It was a box-office hit film with an overwhelming audience response. It is worth noting that ‘Raja Shivaji’ film’s lifetime net collection in India was 110 crores, which is more than its budget of 75 crores. It also became the first Marathi film to score a century at the Indian box office.
‘Raja Shivaji’ will stream on Netflix on June 26. However, official commercial is yet to be released by the platform. The film stars Ritesh Deshmukh( lead role), Mahesh Manjrekar, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Amol Gupte, Bhagyashree and many others are included. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has also made a cameo in the film. The film was released in theaters on 1 May 2026.
