Ratna Bhandar Counting And Inventory Dates Announced: The Counting and inventory of the Ratna Bhandar at Srimandir in Puri will be conducted on August 31 and September 1, the temple administration said on Saturday. The Srimandir administration has sought the cooperation of servitors and devotees for the process.
Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) said the decision was taken keeping in view the observance of various festivals at Srimandir. The entire inventory process will be carried out strictly in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) approved by the Odisha government. All guidelines and protocols laid down in the SOP will be followed meticulously during the process.
The counting and weighing (Ganati-Manati) of ornaments from the Ratna Bhandar were last conducted in July this year. Jewellery used for the deities and those offered during Snana Purnima were examined during the process.
The administration has also expressed hope that the process will be conducted smoothly with collective support. With meticulous planning, the SJTA aims to complete the process smoothly, balancing security, transparency, and devotion.
