The news of Poonam Dhillon’s hospitalization comes at a time when there is a major internal dispute within the Cine and TV Artistes Association(CINTAA). Many members of the organization have resigned expressing their displeasure against the current leadership. In early August, the resignation of 11 executive committee members, including eight elected members, was announced. These members raised questions about transparency and collective decision-making process in the organization and demanded fresh elections.
