The Saudi-led coalition blamed Iran-backed Houthi rebels in neighboring Yemen for the attack
Riyadh airport attack: 12 died over 300 injured: At least 12 people died and over 300 injured in an attack on International Airport in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh. Civil aviation officials gave this information on Sunday morning.
The Saudi statement said that among the dead were four Saudi citizens, as well as two Bangladeshis, a Palestinian, an American, an Egyptian citizen, a Jordanian citizen, a Syrian and a Sudanese citizen. The statement also said that the 309 critically injured are being treated in several hospitals. Damage to the airport was being accessed said civil aviation authority.
Footage posted on social media after the attack and analyzed by The Associated Press showed emergency vehicles outside the airport. The Saudi-led coalition blamed Iran-backed Houthi rebels in neighboring Yemen for the attack. A Saudi-led military coalition has vowed to respond to the attack, which it has blamed on the Houthis and called a ‘war crime’.

It was the deadliest attack in any Gulf Arab country since the start of the Iran War. The scope of this war has now increased and has recently included fighting between Houthi rebels and Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces.
