Shahbaz Government’s Big Announcement : Pakistan is facing an oil crisis amid the Iran-Iraq war. Petrol and diesel prices have increased significantly as people are using their own vehicles. Meanwhile, Shahbaz Sharif has made a big announcement. In which all public transport in Islamabad has been made free for the next 30 days.
Iran’s blockade of the Strait of Hormuz has left the country’s oil tankers stranded in the Persian Gulf. Major countries like China and India have increased their reserves. But Pakistan, which has no oil reserves, is facing an oil shortage. As a result, oil prices have increased rapidly. Shahbaz wants more people to travel in their own vehicles to reduce the consumption of petrol and diesel.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has increased the prices of petrol and diesel yesterday. Petrol is priced at Rs 458 per liter, while diesel is priced at Rs 520. The Shahbaz government has taken this decision at a time when oil prices have increased amid the US-Iran war. Apart from this, the price of kerosene in Pakistan is available at Rs 457 per liter.
On the other hand, on March 6, the price of petrol and diesel in Pakistan was increased by 55 rupees per liter, but now the government has increased the price of oil again. In 28 days, the Pakistani government has increased the price of petrol by a total of 192 rupees and the price of diesel by 239 rupees. Advisor on Economic Affairs Khurram Shahzad also reacted to this increase in oil prices. He said that petrol consumption increased by 8% and diesel consumption by 13% in the last month. This has given a warning signal amid the Iran crisis.
