State-Level Workshop on Question Paper Setting & PARAKH Taxonomy Begins at Rajdhani College: A four-day state-level workshop on “Question Paper Setting, Secondary HPC and PARAKH Taxonomy” began on Tuesday at the Rajdhani College Auditorium in Bhubaneswar. The programme is being jointly organised by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, and PARAKH, NCERT, New Delhi, and will continue till September 11, 2026.

Around 100 higher secondary teachers from across Odisha are taking part in the workshop. The training focuses on improving question paper preparation and promoting competency-based and modern assessment methods.

The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. CHSE Chairman Mrunal Kanti Das, in his presidential address, stressed the need for evaluation methods that match national standards. DHSE Director Niyati Pattanaik also spoke about improving academic quality.

Prof. Indrani Bhaduri, Head and CEO of PARAKH, NCERT, addressed the participants through a video message and highlighted the importance of modern assessment techniques.

Earlier, Dr Yashobanta Samal, Deputy Secretary, CHSE, delivered the welcome address. CHSE Secretary Subhrabala Behera spoke about modernising examinations, while Rajdhani College Principal Dr Sarojkanta Chaudhury proposed the vote of thanks.
