Tesla Expands After Sales Network In India, Launches Model Y Test Drives: Electric vehicle (EV) company Tesla on Tuesday is expanding its after-sales network in India. The company announced the opening of its first authorized body shop in Pune, Maharashtra.
According to the company, the new facility will offer professional post-accident repair and body work, software-based diagnostics, genuine Tesla spare parts and company-approved repair procedures. The aim is to maintain the safety and performance of vehicles and reduce the time spent on vehicle repairs for customers.
To strengthen its customer reach, Tesla has also started test drives of the 2026 Model Y Premium rear-wheel drive and Model YL in and around Pune. Interested customers can book a test drive through the company’s official website or customer support.
The starting price of the 2026 Model Y Premium rear-wheel drive is Rs 50.89 lakh. It offers a WLTP-certified range of up to 500 km on a single charge. This SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.9 seconds and has a storage space of up to 2,138 liters. Its deliveries are scheduled to start from July 2026. Tesla also introduced the Model YL, a three-row, six-seat all-wheel drive SUV designed specifically with large families in mind. Starting at Rs 61.99 lakh, this SUV offers a WLTP-certified range of up to 681 km. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 5 seconds and has a cargo space of up to 2,539 litres.
The company stated that the introduction of authorized body shops and expansion of test drive facilities reflects its commitment to improve the ownership experience of customers in India.
