TPCODL Serves Over 10,000 Devotees with Free Medical Care
TPCODL Provides Free Healthcare to Rath Yatra Devotees: To ensure the health and safety of devotees during the Rath Yatra in Puri, TPCODL, a joint venture of Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, set up three mobile health dispensaries at key locations:
-Near Gundicha Temple
-Puri Beach
-Near Puri Railway Station
Within just two days, over 10,000 devotees received free primary healthcare services from these mobile units.
Each dispensary was staffed with a doctor, nurse, and pharmacist, providing first aid, emergency care, free medicines, and ORS packets. Special attention was given to preventing dehydration caused by the intense heat and large crowds.
Thousands of ORS packets and essential medicines were distributed to help devotees stay healthy throughout the festival.
Through this initiative, TPCODL demonstrated its commitment to the well-being and safety of pilgrims visiting Puri for the Rath Yatra.
The company has also announced that the same three mobile health dispensaries will continue to serve devotees during the upcoming Bahuda Yatra and Suna Besha celebrations.
