Trump Announces ‘Historic Deal’; Hamas to Give Up Weapons in Gaza: US President Donald Trump has claimed a major success in ending the ongoing conflict in Gaza. He has announced a historic agreement on the complete disarmament of Hamas and the withdrawal of Israeli forces.

Trump has announced that the newly formed Peace Council has agreed to a historic agreement for the complete disarmament of Hamas and all other armed groups in Gaza. Under which Hamas would withdraw and Israeli troops would come back from Gaza.

Trump wrote in a post on his Twitter social platform, ‘Today, the Peace Council agreed to a historic agreement for the complete disarmament (laying down of arms) of Hamas and all other armed groups in Gaza. This agreement is a historic step towards sustainable peace and security and a major milestone in the implementation of his 20-point plan for Gaza.’

According to Trump, the agreement will be implemented in a phased manner. First of all, Hamas and other armed groups will be disarmed. After disarmament is complete, Israeli forces will withdraw. Following this, the International Stabilization Force, along with a new Palestinian police force, will assume responsibility for making Gaza safe for its residents and neighbors.
