Under construction godown collapses, over 40 workers feared trapped, 13 rescued: A major accident has occurred today (Wednesday) due to the collapse of the roof of an under-construction godown in Kolkata’s Taratala in West Bengal. More than 40 people are expected to be trapped in the debris. The rescue operation is underway. So far, 13 people have been rescued. Destructive aftermath videos are going viral on social media.
According to local sources, many laborers were working inside the building when the under-construction roof suddenly collapsed. It is being told that large iron beams and concrete debris fell on the workers below, due to which the workers were buried under the debris.
