The actress in the scene has been identified as Behatriz Tauffenbach, a Brazilian model and actress. Following the viral backlash, Behatriz faced intense online criticism and negative comments. Under mounting pressure, she deleted or deactivated her Instagram account, making her profile unavailable.
Initial reports had mistakenly identified the actress as Natalie Byrne. However, director Geeta Mohandas clarified the confusion, revealing Behatriz’s real identity and sharing her photo.

The controversy has not been limited to social media. The women’s wing of the Aam Aadmi Party filed a complaint with the Karnataka State Women’s Commission, calling the scene obscene and objectionable and demanding that the teaser be removed.
