Customers have been advised to complete their necessary banking transactions before the strike to avoid potential problems

3 day bank strike, SBI issues advisory: The United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) has proposed a three-day nationwide bank strike. Ahead of proposed strike, the State Bank of India (SBI) has asked customers to complete important banking transactions before strike dates.

‘Please be advised that the UFBU has proposed a three day strike from September 28 to September 30, 2026,’ SBI said in its advisory on its official social media handle X.

SBI also said that during the strike, the bank will make all possible arrangements for the necessary services to be provided to the customers. However, customers have been advised to complete their necessary banking transactions before the strike to avoid potential problems.

Customers can use ATMs and ADWMs if they need cash during the possible strike period. Apart from this, the facility of Customer Service Points i.e. CSPs can also be used for some needs related to banking. SBI has also advised customers to use digital banking channels. Customers can edit banking related functions through YONO, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking and UPI as per their needs.
