BJP launched ‘Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Samarasata Sankalp Abhiyan’: On the occasion of Guru Purnima, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched the ‘Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Samarasata Sankalp Abhiyan’, which will run from July 29, 2026, to February 20, 2027, coinciding with Saint Ravidas Jayanti. The campaign will start from Sir Govardhanpur, the birth place of Saint Ravidas in Varanasi.
BJP National President Nitin Naveen and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be present at the launch of this campaign. The sacred soil of the birthplace will be filled in a Kalasha and taken to different states of the country. As part of this campaign of BJP, harmony meetings, padayatras, programs based on the thoughts of Sant Ravidas, and social dialogues will be organized across the country. The party says that the campaign aims to spread social harmony, equality, and the message of Saint Ravidas to the masses.
Politically, it is being seen as a strategy to strengthen the organization’s reach among the Dalit community and increase social interaction ahead of the upcoming elections.
