Despite his success in cricket, Cameron Green is facing a major health problem. He recently revealed that he has chronic kidney disease. Green said that he was diagnosed at birth that his kidneys were not filtering blood properly. Currently, his kidneys are working at about 60% of their capacity and he is in stage two of the disease.

Green surpassed the previous record bid for an overseas player held by fellow Aussie Mitchell Starc (₹24.75 crore), also by Kolkata Knight Riders in 2024.
