Comedian Zakir Khan Takes A Long Break 3-4 Years : Stand-up comedian Zakir Khan. Currently, he is touring various cities with his comedy special “Papa Yaar”. Meanwhile, he has announced that he will soon be taking a long break from comedy. Zakir made this announcement during his show in Hyderabad. A video of the show is going viral on social media. In it, Zakir shares his plans with the audience from the stage.
Zakir said, “I am taking a very long break. It may be till 2030. It will be a break of not three, four but five years. It is essential to take care of my health and some other things. Everyone who is here now is very close to my heart. Your presence means a lot to me. I will always be grateful to all of you. Thank you very much.”
Zakir to take a long break
The comedian announced the break on his Instagram story on Tuesday afternoon, January 20. After arriving in Dubai, Zakir wrote in the post, “Every show is a celebration until June 20th. I won’t be able to visit more cities this time. So please come to the shows.”
This is not the first time Zakir has expressed concerns about his health. Last year, he revealed on Instagram that he had been feeling unwell for over a year. But at that time, he said he needed to work. He admitted that almost a decade of constant touring, two or three shows a day, lack of sleep, early morning flights and irregular meals had taken a toll on his health.
Zakir further wrote in his post, “I have been touring for the past ten years. It is a great blessing to receive your love and affection, but traveling so much is taking its toll on my health. I love being on stage. But now I have to take a break. I didn’t want to but I have been ignoring it for a year. But now I think it is time to take a break before it is too late.”
