Customs Officials Recover 24 Gold Biscuits Hidden in IndiGo Plane Toilet: Customs officials at Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport seized gold worth more than ₹4.26 crore on Friday. The gold was hidden inside a speaker box in the lavatory of an aircraft.

The gold was found during a search of IndiGo flight 6E-1478, which had arrived from Dubai. According to Customs officials, two packets wrapped in black plastic tape were discovered inside the speaker box in the aircraft’s front lavatory with the help of aircraft engineers.

Upon opening the packets, officials found 24 gold biscuits of foreign origin with 999 purity (24-carat gold). The total weight of the seized gold was 2,799.3 grams, and its estimated market value was ₹4.26 crore.
