Hema Malini Receives Dharmendra’s Posthumous Padma Vibhushan: Dharmendra, one of the most loved and legendary actors of Indian cinema, was posthumously honoured with the Padma Vibhushan at a grand ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The prestigious award was received by his wife, Hema Malini, and daughter, Ahana Deol. The emotional moment left many people in the hall teary-eyed as Dharmendra’s name was announced in recognition of his unforgettable contribution to Indian cinema.
As Hema Malini walked to the stage to receive the honour from President Droupadi Murmu, she appeared deeply emotional. Dressed in a simple pink saree with minimal jewellery, her eyes reflected both sorrow and pride. While accepting the award on behalf of her late husband, she struggled to hold back her tears and silently bowed her head in gratitude after receiving the honour.
The ceremony became even more emotional when their younger daughter, Ahana Deol, broke down in tears while sitting in the audience. Remembering her father and seeing him honoured in such a special way overwhelmed her with emotion. She was seen folding her hands in gratitude during the ceremony.
Dharmendra always shared a close and loving bond with his family, especially his daughters. His absence was deeply felt throughout the event, making the occasion both proud and heartbreaking for the entire family and everyone present there.
