Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Sundargarh, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj on July 21. Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty surface winds (30-40 kmph speed) are expected at one or two places over Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khurda, and Nayagarh.

Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) will likely affect Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghapur, Cuttack, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khurda, and Nayagarh. On July 24, the IMD has forecast thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds over Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj. For July 25, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty surface winds are likely at one or two places in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, and Sambalpur.
The IMD has advised people, especially those in coastal and northern districts, to remain alert and take necessary precautions during thunderstorms and heavy rainfall. Farmers, fishermen, and travellers have been asked to monitor official weather updates closely as conditions may change rapidly.
