IPL 2026 Qualifier 2 Confirmed: Check Match Date, Venue and Teams: The Eliminator match of IPL 2026 was played between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 27 in Mullanpur. Rajasthan Royals won the match by 47 runs and secured their place in Qualifier 2.
Now, Rajasthan Royals will face Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 2. The winning team will play against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL 2026 final. RCB had already reached the final after defeating the Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1.
Young batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi was the star of the Eliminator match. He played a brilliant innings of 97 runs in just 29 balls, smashing 12 sixes. Dhruv Jurel also scored a quick 50 runs. Rajasthan Royals posted a huge total of 243/8 in 20 overs.
Chasing the target, Sunrisers Hyderabad had a poor start and kept losing wickets regularly. Nitish Kumar Reddy and Salil Arora tried to fight back, but the team was bowled out for 196 runs in 19.2 overs.
Qualifier 2 of IPL 2026 will be played on May 29 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur. The match will start at 7:30 PM, while the toss will take place at 7:00 PM. The winner will face RCB in the final on May 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
