Many times, people get cheated by keeping notes without checking. To avoid such scams, the RBI has mentioned some methods on its official website to identify the authenticity of all Indian notes. In this, seven tips have been mentioned to identify the real 200-rupee note.

How to identify the real Rs 200 note:

  1. The left side of the Rs 200 note has a transparent part at the bottom, in which ‘200’ is written. It is clearly visible when the note is held up to the light.
  2. The amount ‘200’ is also written in Devanagari (Hindi) numerals on the 200-rupee note.
  3. The front side of this note has a photo of Mahatma Gandhi in the middle.
  4. The right side of the note bears the Governor’s signature, the guarantee clause and the RBI logo.
  5. The top left side of this note has a panel of numbers, in which the numbers are written in upper and lower case.
  6. Similarly, there is a panel of numbers on the right side at the bottom, in which the numbers appear in small to large sizes.
  7. At the bottom right side of the note is the symbol of the Ashoka pillar (national symbol) as well.

So now, whenever you get a 200-rupee note, and you have even the slightest doubt that this note is fake, check these seven important signs. This will also save you from any kind of fraud.
