The impact of the strikes was also felt outside the capital. People in Karaj, located in Alborz Province near Tehran, reported hearing loud explosions.
Iran’s national oil company confirmed that some fuel depots in Tehran and Alborz province were hit during the attacks. However, officials said fuel supply to both regions was continuing through alternative distribution channels. The attack marks one of the most significant strikes on Iran’s oil infrastructure in recent years. Analysts warn that such developments could have serious implications for global energy markets and oil trade, especially given the strategic importance of the nearby Strait of Hormuz.
As tensions between Israel and Iran continue to grow, the latest incident has further heightened fears of a wider conflict in West Asia.
