Women Beneficiaries to Receive Subhadra Installment on Women’s Day
Subhadra Yojana Funds to Reach Over 1 Crore Women Today in Odisha: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the government of Odisha will transfer financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana to millions of women beneficiaries across the state.
The funds will be officially released during a grand program at Talabania in Puri. The event will be attended by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi as the chief guest.
According to Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, more than ₹5,000 crore will be transferred directly into the bank accounts of eligible women beneficiaries.
Women Beneficiaries to Receive Subhadra Installment on Women’s Day
Officials said that a total of 1,12,57,667 women applied for financial support under the Subhadra scheme. After verification, 1,02,12,665 beneficiaries have been approved to receive the assistance. Under the scheme, eligible women receive ₹5,000 in two installments every year, providing financial support to improve their economic independence and stability.
Authorities have also clarified that women who will turn 21 years old in April can apply for the scheme, and the upcoming payment will serve as the second installment for women who recently became eligible.
