Mayawati’s Nephew Akash Anand To Kick Start BSP’s Poll Campaign: The Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) has been busy preparing for the 2027 Legislative Assembly elections. BSP national president Mayawati is now going to field her nephew and the party’s national coordinator, Akash Anand.
The party’s national president Mayawati was continuously brainstorming the election with senior leaders during her stay in Lucknow and now she is being brought to the ground.
Akash Anand will announce the name of Avin Sharma as the party candidate (in-charge of the assembly constituency) from Sadabad assembly constituency on August 10. He will also kick off the election campaign by addressing a meeting of party office-bearers and workers. In previous BSP elections, the names of party candidates have been announced at the level of divisional coordinators. After Sadabad, Akash Anand’s meeting will also be held in Jewar on August 25.
According to party sources, BSP leaders want to finalise candidates for more than half of the 403 Assembly seats at the earliest. This will help the party strengthen its position by starting preparations in these constituencies. If this happens, there is a possibility of an alliance with another party in the future. The party will be in a stronger position to claim the seats.
