Hike in diesel prices may increase the cost of transportation and logistics, which may affect the cost of freight and certain goods
Nayara Energy increases petrol price by Rs 5 per litre: India’s leading private fuel retail company Nayara Energy, has once again increased the prices of petrol and diesel. The company has raised petrol prices by Rs 5 per liter and diesel by Rs 3 per litre with immediate effect. The latest increase comes amid rising global oil prices which has increased pressure on domestic fuel traders.
Now petrol will be available at Rs 100.71 per liter and diesel at Rs 91.31 per litre. The increase in crude oil and refined petroleum product prices in the international market is considered to be the main reason. Rising global oil prices have increased cost pressures on domestic fuel traders.
Nayara Energy previously increased petrol prices by ₹5 and diesel by ₹3 per liter in March 2026. Later, on July 1, following a decline in international crude oil prices, the company reduced petrol prices by ₹5 and diesel by ₹3 per liter.

The hike in petrol and diesel prices will not only affect drivers. But hike in diesel prices may increase the cost of transportation and logistics, which may affect the cost of freight and certain goods. Nayara, which operates 7,108 petrol pumps across the country, raised petrol and diesel prices with effect from early hours of Saturday, sources said.
