Tirupati Factory Fire: 5 died, 10 seriously inured

Several workers were engaged in their respective duties when a sudden explosion in the boiler unit caused a loud noise.

Tirupati Factory Fire: 5 died, 10 seriously injured: At least 5 workers were killed and 10 others were seriously injured after a boiler exploded in a private pharmaceutical company in Andhra Pradesh’s Tirupati district. Following the incident rescue and emergency teams rushed to the spot. The injured workers were rushed to the hospital.

On Saturday, the explosion occurred at Sri City-based TIL Healthcare Pharmaceutical Company. Several workers were engaged in their respective duties when a sudden explosion in the boiler unit caused a loud noise. As panic situation gripped, many workers ran outside to save their lives. The explosion was so powerful that it blew roofing sheets and machinery parts away. Following the accident, the premises caught fire and smoke spread throughout. Five workers were killed in the accident, while more than 10 were seriously injured.

Upon receiving information about the accident, fire brigade and police teams arrived at the scene. Relief and rescue teams pulled out those trapped under the rubble. Seriously injured workers were rushed to the hospital by ambulance. They were taken to RUA and SVIMS hospitals in Tirupati. Doctors are treating the injured. Police investigations are underway.
