No Outsourced Employee Will Be Fired Without Govt Permission: Yogi Adityanath: Yogi government has taken a big decision for outsourced employees in Uttar Pradesh. Now private outsourcing companies will not be able to fire any employee at will. It will be necessary to obtain permission from the government before removing the employee.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday launched the Uttar Pradesh Outsource Service Corporation (UPCOS) in Lucknow. He made several important announcements regarding job and social security of outsourced employees. Under the new system, no outsourcing company will be able to directly fire an employee at will. It will be necessary to obtain permission from the government before removing the employee. The Government will investigate the complaint and if the complaint is found to be false then no action will be taken against the employee.
CM Yogi Adityanath said, ‘ Any kind of harassment of outsourced employees will not be tolerated. The aim of the new system is to provide job security to employees and curb corporate arbitrariness. If there is a complaint against any employee, it will be investigated first. Employees cannot be dismissed or harassed based on false complaints.’
Under the new system the employee and his entire family will be able to access treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. Apart from this, maternity benefit will also be provided. In the event of an accident or calamity, the family can get an accident insurance cover of Rs 20 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. At the same time, in the event of a fire, the outsourced corporation will help the family up to 10 lakh rupees.
The government’s plan is not just limited to job security. A provision of up to Rs 8 lakh for son’s education and up to Rs 10 lakh for daughter’s education has been made. Assistance will also be given in daughter’s marriage. Along with this, it has been said to provide zero balance account for employees and various facilities to four members of the family.
With the aim to digitally integrate outsourced human resource management, the portal and website of UPCOS was also launched. The government claims that the new system will increase transparency and provide better security and facilities to employees.
