Noida’s Jewar airport to be renamed after PM Modi: Yogi Adityanath: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday announced that the Noida International Airport in Uttar Pradesh’s Jewar to be renamed to Narendra Modi International Airport. The announcement comes months after the Airport was inaugurated in March 2026.

The announcement was made in a high level meeting chaired by CM Yogi in Lucknow. He said the decision was taken by the UP cabinet to honour PM Modi’s 25- year journey of public service as head of government. Addressing the media, Yogi said the cabinet is grateful to Modi for the airport, which he described as a major gift to UP.

He added that the airport was set to emerge as Uttar Pradesh’s largest airport and a major aviation hub in the country. It received its first flight landing with an IndiGo plane arriving from Lucknow on June 15. The state had entered a new phase of development under his leadership, with heritage and infrastructure development progressing together said Yogi.
