One Year After Pahalgam Attack : Terrorist Shot Dead After Asking For Religion : Pahalgam massacre marks one year. Exactly one year ago, on April 22, 26 tourists were brutally murdered by terrorists in the Beasran Valley of Kashmir. They were shot dead on religious grounds. Most of them were Hindu tourists. A year has passed since the incident, but time has stopped for those 26 families in Pahalgam. Security has been tightened in the area in view of the first anniversary of the Pahalgam attack.

22 April 2025. The Baisaran Valley in Pehalgam. This beautiful tourist destination in Kashmir witnessed a horrific bloodbath that day. Exactly a year ago, Pakistan-backed terrorists brutally shot dead 26 innocent people in the Baisaran Valley. Tourists were happily strolling around. Between 1 pm and 2:45 pm, 3 to 5 terrorists dressed in army uniforms arrived. They were carrying deadly weapons like AK-47s. The terrorists stopped the tourists and asked for their names, religion and identity cards. The terrorists selectively shot only non-Muslims, mainly Hindus, from close range.

The 26 dead included tourists from Maharashtra, Odisha, Gujarat, Karnataka and other states. There was a Nepali national and three government officials among them. Many innocent lives were lost in the attack, including newlywed Shubham Dwivedi from Kanpur and naval officer Binay Narwal from Haryana. A local Muslim man, Syed Adil Hussain Shah, lost his life trying to save the tourists. Prashant Satpati of Ishani village in Balasore had gone to Kashmir for a vacation with his wife Priyadarsini Acharya and son Tanuj. Prashant was shot dead by a terrorist in front of his son in Pahalgam. A year has passed since the incident. But that day is still a black day for the family of the deceased.
