Pakistan Squad For T20 World Cup Announced: Pakistan was unhappy with the decision to exclude Bangladesh from the ICC World Cup. It was also threatening to withdraw from the competition to be held in India and Sri Lanka. But finally, it bowed its head and announced a 15-member squad for the World Cup on Sunday. The 2009 winning team has been led by Salman Ali Agha.
While two star players Haris Rauf and Mohammad Rizwan did not get a place in the team, Babar Azam is included. In Rauf’s absence, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah will handle the fast bowling. Pakistan are in Group A along with winners India, USA, Netherlands and Namibia. However, the team will not tour India and will play all the matches in Colombo. Pakistan will start their campaign against the Netherlands on February 7 and play group matches against USA on February 10, arch-rivals India on February 15 and Namibia on February 18.
